It is custom to have a carol service in the Town every year and in Epping District council each elected Chairman chooses their favourite church to do the same, but this year the Chairman of EFDC, Cllr Liz Webster , who lived most of her life in Waltham Abbey wanted a big celebration in the Abbey church. So we joined efforts – the Town and the District for a celebration of festivities. We worked hard for all the preparations, including invitations – many thanks to Pat Seager and Beverley Hodges for their organisational skills and their help to both of us- and it was truly an evening to remember.
We were very privileged as many dignitaries responded to our invitations and the Church was full of parishioners and guests.
The celebrations continued in the beautifully – Christmassy decorated Town hall with Mulled wine, mince pies and nibbles. It was truly a magical evening
